As a composition, the piece is in typical Offenbach style: quite melodious, of more or less simple structure, full of charm and sentimentality: very pleasing !

A delightful piece of romantic music for the cello by ROGER BROWNE on June 2020

I am very pleased with this version. I use slightly different phrasing in places so have made adjustments there. I am planning to include this in a public performance later in the year (subject to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions).

Of course the original music is very well known. The cello transcription is well done and the harmony used in the piano is professionally written taking into account the register possibilities of the cello. my intention in purchasing this sheet music is to create a transcription for violin and piano.The style of the document is very good and reads easily. At two points a cross or a mol need to be considered
