Brings out the best in the most gorgeous string instrument by carolhpratt * VSM MEMBER * on November 2020

Very nice arrangement, that really highlights the viola's unique value proposition - a deep, resonant, gorgeous instrument that is played like a violin, but sounds more beautiful. In the past, I have played a violin version on my viola, which doesn't touch the C string (obviously) and goes way into the upper positions on the A string (as expected). It is very nice, but this version takes advantage of the deep resonance on the C string, which can't be done on a violin. As my husband says, "it really gets the entire box vibrating! You play the viola--why not play it so it SOUNDS like a viola?" The piano accompaniment is nice, too.
